Kadalaadu Kaadai

A storytelling campaign across Tamil Nadu’s 14 coastal districts, documenting the lived realities of fisherfolk; traditional knowledge, climate impacts, depleting resources, and women’s labour. Through oral histories and multimedia content, the project challenges stigma, builds positive narratives, and supports policy dialogue for just, community-led coastal development.

Cultured Lives

A counterculture installation drawn from years of work with over 60 marginalised communities across the Indian Subcontinent. It challenges dominant ideas of "culture", "cultural", and "cultured" through a multi-sensory showcase of everyday traditions. Featuring Discovering India, an interactive treasure hunt for young visitors, the exhibit invites playful yet critical engagement with India’s pluralism and diverse living cultures.

Cultures Submerged

This project documented the lives of displaced Adivasi (Tribal and Forest Dwelling) communities affected by mega-development projects, particularly dams, in Madhya Pradesh. Through fieldwork, workshops, and a three-part bilingual magazine, we captured their cultural practices and livelihoods. A year-long campaign, public hearings, and advocacy efforts amplified their voices and challenged the erasure caused by development that exclude them.

Witnessing Kashmir

A cultural documentation project that seeks to listen, record, and share the everyday lives, memories, and practices of people in Kashmir - beyond headlines and political binaries. In a landscape shaped by grief and long histories of resistance, this project aims to honour the knowledge, creativity, and resilience embedded in oral traditions, craft, music, and women’s narratives. Rooted in solidarity, care, and deep listening we document not to define, but to witness; to hold space for stories that risk being lost, and to offer a living archive that reflects the dignity and depth of Kashmiri life.
