Ondrinai

This research and intervention project  investigated rising caste-based conflicts and school dropout rates in the districts of Cuddalore, Villupuram, Theni, and Dharmapuri in Tamil Nadu. Grounded in a commitment to social justice, the study applied an intersectional lens to understand how caste, gender, poverty, and structural neglect shaped children's experiences in government schools. Through data analysis, field engagement, and policy dialogue, the project aimed to support safer, more inclusive learning environments and uphold every child’s right to education without fear or discrimination.

Journeying with Justice

A long-term legal empowerment and advocacy initiative in Tamil Nadu, addressing caste-based violence, juvenile justice, disaster discrimination, and systemic exclusion. Through community mobilisation, paralegal training, and policy advocacy, it strengthens access to justice for marginalised youth. The project led to the creation of the Kaani Nilam Legal Aid Centre in Chennai, a space that supports both justice seekers and lawyers from marginalised communities.

Khanabadosh

Khanabadosh is a community-driven initiative in Rajasthan that empowers de-notified and nomadic communities through education, cultural preservation, and rights awareness. At its core is the Olakhaan Centre, a space by and for nomadic people that supports children's learning, documents traditional skills, and connects communities to entitlements. The project also works to destigmatise nomadic identities and livelihoods while engaging in policy and advocacy to push for inclusive, community-led development.

Transcending Differences

A school-based peacebuilding initiative in Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, in collaboration with the district administration. It was launched in response to rising caste-based conflicts among government school students. Through workshops, stakeholder meetings, and the creation of Peace Committees, the project built dialogue across communities and helped draft a student rights and conduct framework now adopted statewide. By combining constitutional literacy, cultural activities, and destigmatisation work, the initiative promotes solidarity, inclusion, and a safer learning environment for all children.
